The build is a one time cost and you are under no obligation to buy anything after it. But most owners do not want to log in and edit pages, and a site that never changes slowly drifts out of date until the hours are wrong and the services list no longer matches what you actually do.
Care covers hosting, keeping everything current and secure, and making the changes you ask for without a quote every time. New service, new photos, changed hours, a page for something you have started offering. You send a message, it gets done.
Pricing depends on the size of the site, and we will tell you the monthly figure before you commit to it. You can cancel and keep the site.
What that actually involves
Hosting and uptime
The site stays online and fast. If something breaks it is our problem to notice and fix rather than yours to discover from a customer.
Changes when you need them
Text edits, new photos, updated services and seasonal changes, handled by us. No hourly billing for small things and no charge to change your own hours.
Security and updates
Everything kept current. Most hacked small business sites are not targeted, they are simply running something out of date that an automated scan found.
Backups
Kept and tested, so a bad change or a bad day is recoverable rather than catastrophic.
Questions about ongoing care
- Do I have to sign up for this?
- No. The build is a one time cost and the site goes live either way. Care is for owners who would rather not think about hosting, updates and changes, and plenty of people quite reasonably decide they do not need it.
- What if I want to stop?
- You cancel and we stop billing. There is no exit fee and no notice period. Your domain is registered in your name, so it stays yours and points wherever you tell it to.
