Price

What a website costs.

Most agencies will not put a number on a page, which wastes your time and theirs. Here is ours, and here is what it does not cover.

02 Priced on their own

Not folded into the build

Ongoing care

Monthly, optional

Hosting, updates, security and any changes you want made. Priced on the size of the site, quoted before you commit, cancel whenever.
Google Business Profile

Quoted separately

Its own piece of work with its own price: a one time cost to claim, verify and build the profile out, and a monthly cost if you want it kept up. Not bundled into the website price.
Search work on an existing site

Quoted per job

Already have a site you like? We will look at it and quote just the work needed to get it found, which is often much less than you expect.

03 Where the money goes

The design is not the expensive part.

People assume the design is the expensive part. It usually is not. The expensive part is the thinking about what a customer needs to see before they will call you, and then the writing that puts it in front of them.

A good looking site that says nothing specific will lose to a plain one that answers real questions, every time. That is where the hours go, and it is why we write the pages rather than handing you a blank template and asking you to fill it in.

It is also why we would rather tell a business in a quiet town that they do not need a monthly plan. There is enough work around here that we do not need to squeeze anybody.

04 Questions

About money

01
Is $997 the real price or a starting point to get me on a call?
It is a real price and plenty of sites get built at it. It is a starting price in the sense that a much larger build costs more, but we tell you the number in writing before any work begins and it does not change afterwards.
02
What makes a project cost more than $997?
Size and moving parts. A separate page for each of a dozen services, online booking, a store with products and payments, or writing built around a lot of research. A straightforward site for a local business rarely needs any of that.
03
Do you take payments?
Yes, normally half to start and half when the site goes live. If that does not work for your situation, say so and we will sort something out.
04
What happens if I stop paying for care?
Billing stops and that is the end of it. There is no exit fee and no notice period. Your domain is registered in your name, so it stays yours and you can point it wherever you like.
05
Are there costs that are not yours?
The domain name, usually somewhere around twenty dollars a year, paid to the registrar rather than to us. If you go without a care plan you will also need hosting, which is often free or close to it at the size most local businesses need.

Tell us what your business does.

A couple of lines is plenty. We reply in writing with what we would build, what it costs and when it goes live.
